The story
Dallas controlled the first half, leading 47-43 at the break. The Wings pushed their advantage to 68-61 after 3 quarters, with an 8-point run in the 3rd. But Phoenix refused to quit. Kahleah Copper carried the Mercury's comeback with 31 points, and Alyssa Thomas orchestrated the offense with 12 assists while adding 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Mercury outscored Dallas 26-18 in the 4th quarter to steal a 1-point victory. Jessica Shepard led Dallas with 17 points and 19 rebounds, and Paige Bueckers added 30 points and 7 assists, but it wasn't enough. Phoenix trailed by as many as 14 and still won.
230 points and 7 assists. Bueckers kept the Wings in it all night, showcasing the scoring touch that keeps Dallas competitive. Just shy of stealing the game.
